FAQs

How many passengers can you accommodate?

Due to capacity, we can accommodate up to 7 adult passengers. If your group contains a lot of children, the total number we can accommodate is 8

Can we bring food?

Absolutely! Feel free to bring food/snacks and drinks. We provide one med/large iced cooler for your convenience. You may bring additional, though we urge you to keep comfort in mind!

Is alcohol allowed?

Yes. Alcohol is permitted in plastic and cans for those passengers over the age of 21. IDs are required.

Can we get more boat time?

We are often booked solid. However, if there is time available after your trip, we are more than happy to extend. Ask your Captain about options and pricing.

What should we bring?

While we urge passengers to pack light, we also encourage preparedness. For standard tours, we suggest you bring towels, sunblock, hats/sunglasses, lightweight/water-friendly shoes, camera, water and masks

For some of the specialty tours, we recommend additional specific items:

  • Day Island Picnic Trips - bug spray, games, snorkle gear, lunch supplies (plates, napkins, tablecloth, utensils, etc)

  • Water Taxi/Booze Cruise - IDs, shirts/swimsuit cover ups, wallets, WATER

  • Sunset/Fireworks/Evening Cruises - Sweatshirts, pants

Can we go fishing?

Definitely. We accommodate recreational fishing (catch and release). Some fishing time can be built in to a standard tour or for more dedicated fishing time, we offer a Strictly Fishing option. We suggest booking those early am or evening. We supply rods, bait and basic tackle. While we do consider ourselves lake masters, we have not mastered communication with the fish and therefore cannot guarantee their cooperation.

Lake George Parks Commission requires fishing licenses for all passengers. Get your permits here or contact us in advance and let us help.

How can we picnic on a Day Island?

Day Island spots are first come first serve and obtained by visiting Glen Island. We encourage Day Island trippers to book a tour in advance and select early time slots so we can snag a great island spot. Most islands offer some place to enter the water and swim as well as basic outhouses. To make the most of the Day Island trips, we suggest 4 or more hours and brining some games. Most allow grilling with charcoal  (though this can take up a lot of good lake time and space on the boat). Learn more about Day Island use.

Can you pick me up at my hotel?

If your location has dock space and provides permission, we are willing to do pickups. Note: travel time to pickup/dropoff location will be included in your total tour time.

What happens if the weather is bad?

If you cancel within 24 hours due to inclement weather, we will refund 100% of your deposit or apply that deposit to a rescheduled tour (if we can accommodate). Any other reasons besides inclement weather require 7 days cancellation for a deposit refund.

Can we bring our dog?

We happen to be animal lovers so we would consider one dog per tour. Based on size, the dog may need to be counted as a passenger due to passenger/weight limits. Call to inquire.

Can we listen to music?

Of course! We are music lovers ourselves. We have a  USB port...so bring your favorite tunes on board.
